Taj Mahal is situated in Uttar Pradesh.The Taj Mahal is an ivory while marble mausoleum on the south bank of the Yamuna River in the Indian city of the Agra.It was commissioned in 1632 by the Mughal Emperor, Shah Jahan to house the tomb of his favorite wife Mumtaj Mahal.The tomb is the centerpiece of a 17-hectare complex, which includes a Mosque and a guest house, and is set in a formal garden bounded on three sides by a crenelated wall.

Tomb
The Tomb is the central focus of the entire complex of the Taj Mahal.It is a large, marble structure standing on a square plinth and consist of a symmetrical build with an iwan topped by the large dome and finial.Like most Mughal tombs, the basic elements are Persians in origin.
